Getting to Nantes

By plane to the Nantes airport (NTE)

The Nantes Atlantique Airport has direct flight to many big european cities. Nantes airport is also well connected with Charles-de-Gaulle airport in Paris with several flights per days.

You can reach the city center in about 20min by taking the airport bus ( details here).
A ticket for the airport bus costs 9€ and is valid 1 hour on the entire public transportation network.

By train

Nantes is also accessible by train with direct trains from Paris Montparnasse (2h30) and Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (3h).
The train station is located in the city center next to public transportation and accommodations.

Public transportation in Nantes

The public transportation network in Nantes is called the tan and all informations are available in english on their website.
You can buy tickets at tram and bus stations, online (sent by post) or digitally using the iOS / Android (be careful, the app requires internet on your phone).

Note that the tan network (except the airport bus) is free during the week-end.
